No Dignity

With You I Have No Dignity

It is a mask, a lie, a show, an honour, a shield

With You My Dignity Succumbs to Desire

A wish, a dream, a life of another, my inner, my outer

With You I Question My Dignity

Wonder, passion, attire, society and the Godly sun fire

With You This Dignity of Mine is Restless

Careless, fearless, loud, quiet and persistent

With You My Sacred Dignity Dies

It lies naked, bare, empty, dry, dying and shameless

With You I Have No Dignity

I don’t want it, someone else can have it

With You I Shroud Myself in This Dark Cloak of Dignity

It’s comforting, like the rain clouds that hang over me, like the doors that hang ajar in corners, like the closed curtains between us.
